In this blog, sometimes we like to highlight specific products to give you a more in-depth look at what they offer. Today that product is Hunter Douglas Silhouette® Window Shadings.
UV Protection and Light Control
What sets these stunning shades apart from the other window treatments is that they combine two sheer fabric panels with opaque vanes. This combination gives you a level of light control you won’t find with any other window treatment. You can open the shade completely and allow sunlight to stream through your bare window, or you can close the sheer shade but leave the vanes open to allow in filtered light. When the vanes are open, the sheer curtain provides protection from harmful UV rays while still allowing you to enjoy the view outside your window. The vanes can be rotated to block out the desired amount of light, and their S-shape means they interlock to create a maximum room darkening effect when closed.
If you want the ultimate amount of darkness, you have the option to add a roller shade using the Duolite® feature. This roller shade will be made of an opaque fabric in a complementary color or pattern and can be operated independently from the rest of the shade. With the vanes fully closed and the roller shade down, you can achieve a near blackout effect.

We even sell the fabric in cut yardage so you can use it to make other items and accessories.
You can also pair these shades our collection of side panels and drapery. This brings another level of elegance to the design. The curtains also help to block any light that might bleed through the sides of the shade when the vanes are closed.
